As many of you know, the yellow OMP strut tower brace for the 850/70s screams out for attention and put out too much r1ced and furious image. I know only a handful of people have refinished the yellow with sometihing more discreet.
I've done that with some silver paint that my friend's shop was using once. Obviously paying only $35 to get the job done was a bit optimistic, and my friend was not too pyched about spending some time and stripping the paint first. Now it's all chipped up from doing workd around the area, and the bar looks pretty nasty now.
After few sand paper+high polish DIY job on my intake and IC pipes, and the injector cover....I'm hooked on that polish look and the sense of achievement after hours of hard work. I was wondering if I should do the same for my strut tower brace.
Few options I have in mind:
It would probably look decent if I just strip everything and powder coat it to some flat silver or black.
Or powder coat only the strut tower brace mount base on each ends and leave the rest polished.
Or just polish everything including the bases on the brace.
What do you guys think?
