The OMP brace is of poor quality. It's a common problem that it doesn't fit on the FWD cars.
I had an OMP brace on my 240 and it didn't fit well. It rubbed the throttle wheel on acceleration causing a hesitation. It also had a threaded stud in the center with a nut on either side of the stud. I had to take the brace apart and remove the nuts just to make it short enough to fit. The nuts are supposed to be used to lock down the proper length, but obviously I wasn't able to do that. There were a total of 3 moving joints on the OMP brace, compared with only 2 on most braces, and 0 on my Cherry Turbos brace, which by the way, fit perfectly. The OMP brace also went directly over the oil fill cap, while most others go ahead or behind it, which is far more convenient.
Overall, the OMP braces seem to be quite flawed when it comes to Volvo applications.
