Re: Okay boys...let's talk bras (Broadwinged)
Okay...passionate responses on both sides of the debate.
I live in rural wisconsin and the amount of rocks on the road leads to inordinate chipping.
Yes, I'd love to go the clear bra route but I'm still looking for someone closer than CHicago or Milwaukee to do it and it does seem to cost a bit. Also I've had a couple people tell me summer is best for this job and frankly the amount of chipping is going to rocket higher soon as the "pits" (sand, gravel, granite, limestone) open around here and even more tiny rock is on the road. I sometimes wonder at what point I repaint before I put on a clear bra...and repainting means I have to wait 6 months for the paint to cure before the clear bra.
Maybe an 850 in central WI was a bad idea?
Nope...having too much fun driving!
I thought the regular bra would be a good short term stop gap with the proper care.
I get your point JRL...and the image of the plastic covered couch does make my stomach roil a bit...
I'll tell you all what I do... Just cleaned her with PS21 last week and their wax too...nice. Have the Volans and Pirellis back on...ahhh SPring. Now if I could just figure out how to avoid rock chips...
