Hello, I switched to DDM bulbs about 6 months ago and one went out yesterday. They told me to send it in and I'll pay a discounted price for a replacement bulb.

Is it ok to drive the car around (at night also with one HID functioning) with no HID bulb in the drivers side headlight? Will the ballast just make a deathly arch and melt something?

I would really like to be sure if someone wants to be a test dummy or someone already knows for sure this is totally safe please let me know.

Thanks!

Just take the ballast out? I guess that should work. I don't think the plug would make an electric Arch because it's only 12v before the ballast correct?

Thanks again! I just don't want to melt my R obviously..

Well I'm glad I didn't start it! Thanks for the warning. I guess I'll rent a car until the new bulb comes in.
I really hope you're not serious.

No need to unplug the headlamp. You'll be fine with no bulb there.
Hope your not serious about renting a car just because of the bulb lol.
