<p>So I bought an evo clutch kit, got everything fitted, spent a lot of time and money trying to get this to work on the R, only to realize at the last minute the pressure plate is a pull type, not push! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>This is so freaking frustrating, I'm gonna pull my hair out! Right now I'm trying to decide between the 850R or S2 pp. Although, I don't know if I could/want to re-drill/tap/pin/balance the flywheel one more time...so I might just go with 850 pp....or get an EVO gearbox. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: (firehawk618)

i think the throw out bearing works from the inside verses the push, outside.<p>i think volvo engineering is sucking big time. and is pushing me away from them.<p>nothing about an internal clutch slave cylinder makes any sense from anything but an assembly cost stand point.<p>how could it be servicable?<p>how could it be customer friendly?<p>no matter how many friends i have at the torslanda plant, i have to say stay away from volvo manual transmissions.
