where have others on here purchased their BSR??. Apparently you can get it from 3 different sources?!?!?!? Is there a difference in price change? Difference in service? Difference in shipping times??
Also, I'm giving anyone the floor to talk me out of this. G/F doesn't know that I am doing this so she won't be able to.
Does the fact that the car is a lease equal this is not a good idea?? I am planning to purchase the car at the end of the lease.
Can you tell I am just a little nervous about this?
Thanks for the help.

Re: OK, I have made the decision to purchase the BSR PPC...but one question (R Crazy)

One thing to keep in mind, once set up for your car, it can only be used on your car. No changing or transferring to another car. If your car is a lease and you turn the car back in at the end of the lease, the BSR program goes with it or throw it away.

I lease my R. I think I am the only person here or 1st person here for sure that has a 06 with the Bsr PPc kit. It's awesome! I baught it from http://www.eurosporttuning.ca Frank is great he'll hook u up. The good thing about this is that u can go back to stock if u need to service u'r car at the dealership . I don't plan on doing to muhc to my car since it' a lease also. Only things I am doing is Bsr kit/Exhaust and maybe a CAI or Bmc filter. This was at the end I just flsh it back to stock swap the stock exhaust and that's it I can do that all within 1 hour of me returning my car. Get the bsr kit I have that alobe for now and it's awesome.. shaved 3 seconds from 0-200 kmh dyno showed a gain of 32 whp so it's bext bang for buck (94 oct) btw. Get a exhaust too it may not do that much but it helps maybe add 8 -10 whp with PPC and u need a nice ddep rumble anyways.. the D/P is wayyy to much work to install , dealership will void warranty since it's right on the turbo (they wont for a exhaust) remeber they wont know u have a ecu upgrade so all they will think is u have a exhaust big whoop!
Get it

When you log the ECU into VADIS, people have made mention that there is evidence of what has transpired. What exactly is the evidence? Is there something that says BSR program loaded? Or does it just say ECU updated and not tell you what with?
Also, I never got my answer as to whether the BSR PPC gets rid of the torque limiters on the GT?

I am sure that it doesn't say "BSR' or anything similar but any Volvo "flashing" will be in your service records. If it's not, ummmm......not too tough to figure that out.
You can chose to believe that by returning it to stock, the dealer will be clueless but you will be incorrect. Mine said "ECU modification" or something very close to that.
That was AFTER it was back to stock

Re: (LTA)

The BSR does remove the torque limiting in 3rd gear on up for the GT's. 1st and 2nd gear don't feel much different than stock. But once you get it in 3rd it feels like a whole new car!

Re: (LTA)

I don't know if this helps but I recently had my R in for service, ECU back to stock from the BSR program to adress an "anti skid" failure requiring service warning. I turns out there was a bad module, something to do the Haldex system and the rear wheel drive. The dealer never mentioned any ECU mods. Again, I don't know if they would have gone into the Vadis system for this type of a repair but.........

It doesn't "pop-up" if they connect it to their computer. But, if they go further in the system and look for it. They will find it.

If they want to find it, they will. I think they can see a full logg of the ECU history.
