As my S60 2.0T is about to arrive, I was wondering what synthetic oil & grade to use after the break-in period (about 6k miles/10k km).
The mediterranean climate here has very mild winters (2C/37F minimum) and warm (but not desert hot) summers (36C/98 F).
Since volvo recommends Castrol, should I go with GTX 10W-30?
They also have Mobil 1 0W-40 available here, isnt that a bit too thin for such climate?
Thanks!

Your thoery that you can use CASTROL GTX is flawed. It would be SYNTECH not GTX. And use teh grade VOLVO tell you too. if that is 5w30 use it. If that is 10w30 use it.
