Would there be any intrest with a Oil Filter Cover with a 3/8 socket end built in ?
would be a direct swap for your plastic one and would be able with a 3/8 wrench just spin it right out so you wont have to worry about a strap wrench or what ever.

Just a thought off the top of my sleepy head.
I am ehhh on plastic but I would bet volvo made this plastic for a reason but I cant see why a metal one wouldnt work since the orignal ones 850 and older have all been metal.
So thoughts , ideas , concerns ?
And should be cheap also thinking aluminum for this $50 each max ?

From what I understand, this wrench cap is what you want/need (or, alternately, a few of these as they tend to wear out?)
