I have an '05 V50, non-turbo. Came w/ 1st 3 years of maintenance included. Had 7500 service done at my dealer, who put a next service due @ 15,000 on my sticker, consistent w/ what Volvo recommends. Now he is trying to sell me an "in between" service at 11,250. My car is fine & has not been in for service, so I can only conclude, at this point, that he is churning business. Anyone else encounter this?<p>This is the same Service Dept that told me, when my 1-month old battery died, that it was because the car is so electronics-heavy, the batteries just can't support them. If that were the case, wouldn't Volvo use better batteries? My battery was replaced, but I do not appreciate the bs, which was more annoying than the car dying so early!
