ok so I see the need for one, but where do you hook it up. I bought one from driftmotion.com for 35 bux with no instructions.

Where do the oil funes attach back to the air intake? I know there is a vaccum that goes into air intake manifold on the right, it is pretty oily. Then there are two lines on the intake right after the MAF.

Anyone know which of these the cetch can should be attached to?

If you look at the black plastic intake pipe, there are two hoses connected to it. There is a small rubber hose that comes up out of the top of the motor that connects to the intake. I think that is the hose that vents the oil vapors back into the intake tract. You would route the hose from the block to the catch can and then from the can back to the intake pipe. I'm almost positive that is the hose you need. Someone please correct me if I am wrong so that I don't connect my catch can that way when I get around to getting one lol. The other hose attaches to some sort of sensor, maybe the air intake temp sensor. You need the small rubber hose one.

two of the hoses on the intake are qwik disc. that tie into the vacuum pump. The other hose that I think your talking about is just a regular rubber hose. I haven't traced it back, but I will soon.

I really wish someone would chime in on this.

Back when i made mine "but never installed it" i was gonna put it inline where the tube that comes off the top of the valve cover and goes down to the PCV system oil trap.

this is the one i made using an air water seperator, i took out the original element on the inside and just replaced/stuffed the exit port with some cotton, then put a magnetic drain plug on it.

So what does the can do and is it needed?

instead of having the oil vapors run into the engine/ or collecting inside IC or turbo
it goes thru the catch can, which must have a median or "baffle" to filter the vapors and "catch" the oil. that way your engine wont get mucked up

okay so I need this solved definitively. Where does the catch can go?! does it connect to the black rubber hose that connects to the intake right behind the MAF?

Does it go inline to the hose that is connect on the left or right side of the actualy intake manifold

does it go inline between the hose that goes from the valve cover to the oil trap? The hose that notoriously breaks.

I had a bunch of oil in my intercooler, no my turbo oil is not leaking. I just want to keep vapors from getting into my system.
