I've been going through TCVs every ~5k miles and the low oil warning light seems to come on earlier and earlier lately (last time came on just over 1k miles after new oil change).
I changed the boost pressure sensor this weekend and noticed oil in the piping to the IC. What exactly is oil blow-by and where does it come from, i.e. what route does the oil travel? Could there be some seal that is leaking somewhere? Maybe on the turbo? Plugged hoses? Clogged PCV system? I'm trying to find the root cause of the TCV failures/increased oil consumption and I suspect they are related...leaning towards PCV system...?
I know about putting an inline filter on the redline for the TCV, but I don't want to hide the real problem under a band aid.
TIA
