If I could purchase a factory S60 OEM nav kit for $350 with 2012 maps or a 2012 Garmin Nuvi for $350, based on your experience with these pop ups, what would you rather have?

the Garmin wins, no question (from an easy of use and features point of view).

You could always get an OEM replica screen and combine with a with Garmin GVN-53 with the 2012 updated maps.

I have an old 99 v70r with a Garmin and a newer 06 v70r with the factory pop up navigation..

Factory wins, why well I don't have to mount it on my windshield and run wires to my cigarette lighter, it looks like it belongs their and its much louder over a Garmin when reading out directions..

Garmin wins IMO. My 06 SR has the factory NAV and the Garmin has so much more data available and much easier to look things up. It seems a lot of what I look for just isn't in the Volvo NAV unless it's "major". Easier to do wildcard searches with the Garmin.
