Odd inner tire wear

I've never seen tire wear like this! It's on the inside of my rear tires, and a little on the front (probably from rear being rotated a while back). I took my wheels off last year to clean my pegs, and I never noticed any of this. Any clues on what could cause this?

Get an alignment check right away - likely bad toe settings.

Thank you! I couldn't see anywhere it could be rubbing. Alignment was what I thought, but I can cruise down the street without touching the wheel. I mean granted, that doesn't mean everything is fine, I just would be surprised.

Yes, went to the (inner) cord on my previous read Conti DWSs

Looks very similar to the tire wear I experienced several years ago. The inner part of the rear tires wore until a belt separated:

This is a very common issue with negative camber. Just do an internet search for "negative camber tire wear" and see the images that come up - they look just like yours and mine.

How often do you rotate?

I work in the tire/ service industry get an alignment check first off, most places do it free. Post up pics of the specs and I will tell you what needs replaced most likely. I know the R especially well ;)

Im having (kind of) similar wear on my front right tire. I am getting worn endlinks replaced this weekend so i am gonna try an aligment as well and hope that solves the problem.

recently purchased an r that has been lowered. Just spoke to the mechanic who worked on the car for a few years today and he said that the rear tires wear out pretty quickly, probably something similar to the other pictures in this thread.

The car has been lowered an inch and, according to him, he has had an alignment already done on the car. the car is already maxed out on that adjustment, due to the lowering, but it'll keep eating tires.

problem is, the car runs smooth, handles great and looks awesome with the 1" drop, but not sure if I want to put back the oem springs.

IPD sells bushings that help with additional adjustment for lowered cars.

The bushings are for camber adjustments. The toe rods are obviously for toe adjustment 2 very differnt things.
