Re: OBDII iPhone (LTA)

The Rev App looks just like that from Palmer. You see all the pictures at the bottom of the software page? <p>Edit: That is Dash Command at the bottom of the page. Lol. Yeah, the idea of your phone having the ability to do all that is incredible.

Re: OBDII iPhone (VolvokidS60R)

You connect the Kiwi Wifi device to the OBDII port. The Kiwi Wifi device puts out a wireless signal to your iPhone/iTouch to be able to read your engine paramiters on the fly.<p>From the REV site....<p>"Rev gives you access to lots of vehicle metrics, communicating via an OBD-II device to extract highly accurate, real-time data directly from your vehicle's ECU. Those metrics include:<p>Vehicle Speed <br>RPM <br>Fuel Consumption* <br>Engine Coolant Temp <br>Fuel Pressure <br>Calculated Engine Load <br>Throttle Position <br>Intake Manifold Pressure <br>Air Intake Temp <br>Timing Advance <br>Mass Air Flow <br>Fuel Level <br>Barometric Pressure <br>EVAP System Vapor Pressure <br>Fuel Trim <br>Boost** <br>* The Fuel Consumption calculation may be inaccurate on some diesel vehicles.<br>** The Boost calculation may be inaccurate on piggyback turbo systems."<p>

Re: (mad matt)

You can add on the sensor modules though. It would be an extra $200 for the iMFD and Boost Module.

Re: (dave_n_ruth)

So, will the imfd sensor read boost on Volvos? What's needed? The Kiwi wifi unit and the boost sensor? Or the KIWI unit, the imfd unit and then the boost sensor?<p>I have the Rev app for my iphone with the ELM-CAN wifi OBDII reader, but it doesn't give me boost numbers. I'd consider switching to the KIWI wifi with the imfd thingie if it will give me boost numbers.

Re: (fletcher33)

The way the website reads it sounds like you need the iMFD and boost sensor and your in there. The OBDII just has no capability to provide the boost reading with a stock configuration. The OBDII receives no boost info, no transmitter.

So All I need is the,<br>REV App, $39.99<br>Kiwi Wifi + iMFD, $249.99 <br>Boost / Vacuum Sensor Module, $100<p>$388.99 That's a lot of coin for the set up.

I would hope that we would start to see apps created to not just data log, but upgrade/alter settings. It is the 21st century and the idea that it takes an old pc laptop to do what could/should be able to be done using an iphone and a wireless connection should be happening now. I haven't looked lately, but I'll check out cobb tuning to see if they are thinking this way for the subaru crowd.
