Hey all,

I am wrapping up the final portions of my turbo back project and have 2 questions.

1) is there anything special I need for 02 bungs to weld into the DP? I bought this one (I know I need two, thats why I'm asking if this is OK or if I should get something else)

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AAF-ALL34153/

2) Im anticipating needing a spacer for the lower(???) O2 sensor. What exactly should I pick up for that, is it as simple as a few washers (I would guess no but neer know)?

Man, am I pumped to get the last few items brought together so I can do my first REAL mod in 3.5 years of owning my baby, 3 weeks is going to go by sooooooo slow.

TIA

not sure about the bung, i would imagine someone else will chime in. In terms of the 02 spacer, 30 bucks from ipd/rallitek, works like a charm. 300 miles on it and no CEL.

Goodluck!

The oxygen sensors on the R are threaded standard M18x1.5

You can get the two bungs and an extender for the rear bung from this site: http://www.boostcontroller.com/index.php?category=158

angled bung http://www.boostcontroller.com/inde...tcontroller.com/index.php?page=1&category=158

straight bung http://www.boostcontroller.com/inde...tcontroller.com/index.php?page=1&category=158

angled extender http://www.boostcontroller.com/inde...tcontroller.com/index.php?page=1&category=158

straight extender http://www.boostcontroller.com/inde...tcontroller.com/index.php?page=1&category=158 (I would use the smallest opening)

I would recommend getting either an angled rear bung and a straight extender or a straight rear bung with an angled extender, so that your rear oxygen sensor doesn't contact the heatshield/exhaust tunnel wall.

A straight bung is used for the front oxygen sensor (no extender on the front!)

Cheers,

Jeff

Thanks guys, so do I need an extension if I am running a cat? I am going the E-cutout route as many have done before. IIRC, there is a way to strategically place the O2 bung so as not to need a spacer but Im not totally positive in that regard. I would guess I dont need one on the upper sensor, only the lower if that. Can spacer's be added later if I dont initially have one installed but get a CEL that requires a spacer to remedy the issue?
