Does anyone know the specifications for the nuts used on the engine brace bolts? I'm referring to the nuts that hold on this guy:

Mine are in need of replacing.

And, will it harm any part of the engine to drive from the garage to the other side of the house without this attached? I need the garage for something else.

You can go on a road trip without that thing attached. It just reduces engine rocking and strut tower deflection. Won't hurt a thing to drive around a little without it.

As for the nuts, I think all the stock bolts are 12.9 grade.

I drove around for a while with mine off as I was working on it.

The only thing you will notice is that the engine torques over more with it out making shifting harder with M66 if you are driving hard.

I wouldn't leave it off for ever as it is part of the crash safety system, but driving to the shop with it off is fine.

I highly recommend not driving without that strut bar, the other mounts are not designed to handle the torque from the front wheels, that's what the lower and upper mount is for.
