Most of you probably know of the very successful Overseas Adventures and the "R trips" Volvo have had over the past few years.
To continue to build on the excitement around the Overseas Delivery Adventure trips we are thrilled to present an all-new adventure this October to Nurburgring, Germany where you will experience a driving school like no other on the famed Nordschleife section.
Along with this very exclusive experience you will have an unforgettable wine tasting tour of the vineyards of Cologne. This new adventure will only be available to 20 customers (NATIONALLY) purchasing any model Volvo; this trip will sell out VERY QUICKLY since past trips were exclusive to specific models.
During the driving school you will be driving cars provided by Volvo (just in case), mostly S60s. The 20 lucky customers will get a once in a lifetime experience with VIP treatment from the beginning to the end.
Here are the highlights of what this incredible trip offers:
Wednesday, October 25th U.S. departure on Scandinavian Airlines. 2 tickets in Economy Flex class are included in the purchase of this trip (only the international portion of the flight; Economy Flex is NOT offered on the domestic portion)
Thursday, October 26th Individual arrivals to Göteborg, Sweden. A driver will pick you up at the airport and drive them to the SAS Scandinavia hotel downtown Göteborg.

Friday, October 27th * am -VIP delivery at the Factory Delivery Center and the delicious Swedish meatball lunch.
* pm - board the ferry in Göteborg that takes you to Kiel in northern Germany. This is the most comfortable way to get to continental Europe as Volvo will provide a 2-bed cabin and you will arrive rested, the following morning. Dinner will also be served on-board and hosted by Overseas Delivery Management.
Saturday, October 28th * am - the ferry arrives in Kiel and you begin their exhilarating drive on the Autobahn to Cologne. Autobahn is one of the few freeways in the world where FREE SPEED is still allowed (unless a speed limit is posted). You should drive at the speed they are comfortable with, and take the time to watch the scenery. You will not drive in a caravan.
* pm - individual arrivals to Cologne. Stay at a local 4 star hotel.
Sunday , October 29th * am - bus comes to transport you to the famous vineyards of the Cologne region.
* pm - bus transportation back the local hotel in Cologne.
Monday, October 30th * am - drive to Nurburgring where you will begin you driving school adventure after lunch. This is what you will experience that afternoon:
12.00 - 1.00 pm Lunch in the Fahrsicherheitszentrum
1.00 - 2.00 pm theoretical briefing about driving dynamics
2.00 - 2.15 pm the correct adjustment of the drivers seat and steering techniques
2.15 - 5.15 pm driving round bends breaking on slopes interception of a slinging car ABS-breaking
pm - stay the night at a local hotel
Tuesday, October 31st * am - You will continue with you driving school experience at the Nurburgring track:
7.30 – 8.00 am going to the race track creating the different groups
8.00 – 12.00 am section training „Mercedes-Arena“
section training „Michelin-curve/Bit-curve“
section training „NGK-chicane /Coca Cola-curve“
guided tour through the terrain of the Nürburgring
12.00 – 1.00 pm guided driving and free training
1.00 – 2.00 pm Lunch at the Dorint-Restaurant
2.00 – 2.30 pm debriefing, handing out of the diplomas and dismissal
pm - drive back to cologne and stay the night at a local hotel.
Wednesday, November 1st * am - Scenic drive to the city of Hamburg, where you will spend the night at a local hotel.
Thursday, November 2nd * am - Check out from the hotel and the trip ends. You can choose to drop-off the car for home shipment in Hamburg (€105 charge) or continue the European vacation on your own. The Overseas Delivery Program also offers you the opportunity to fly back home from any drop-off city.

This amazing package has an approximate retail value of $10,000 but will be offered through the Volvo Overseas Delivery program for only $3,495 for 2 people. Below is a quick summary of what is included in this excellent offer:
* 2 round trip tickets in Economy Flex Class on Scandinavian Airlines incl. access to the SAS lounges in the U.S.
* 1 night at the 4-star SAS Scandinavia hotel in Göteborg, Sweden incl. breakfast.
* Ferry ride from Göteborg to Kiel incl. 2 bed port hole cabin, dinner and breakfast.
* 5 nights at premium hotels in Germany, (more specific information on this to follow).
* Pick-up at the airport in Göteborg, Sweden.
* VIP delivery at the Factory Delivery Center in Göteborg, Sweden.
* Delicious Swedish meatball lunch.
Copy of valid U.S. identification on both travelers must be submitted with the order. Wow - quite the trip. I'm almost sorry I'm waiting for Volvo to get the wrinkles out of the C70 until next year. This promises to be a memorable experience for anyone electing to flog their brand-new car around probably the most demanding circuit in the world. Taking my wife's 2-day-old S80T6 on the circuit was unforgettable. Especially the part where my wife was screaming in the Karrusel.
The 'Ring will really test every driving skill you think you have, and the combination of the instruction from pros with local experience and section-by-section training will allow you to find out how quick you and your new ride really are. Just remember it's no video game, and there's no "reset" button if you get badly out of shape.
This promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sorry I won't be there, but I'll be looking forward to a trip recap and photos later.

Boothguy.....

Don't feel too sad...it looks like the C70 may not be available for the Ring trip....unless something changes! I had 3 folks lined up and ready to go if the C70's were included. I was told....probably not, unless production can meet the current list of already sold units.
That is not to say that OSD might not get a small allocation of C70's, just for the trip...but as of now....nothing.
HOWEVER.....it is still one heck of a trip! I have a customer who has participated in the last 2 R trips.....he is thinking about doing this one too!

Re: (GrecianVolvo)

Just for clarification......you can take your own car on the Ring...after the driving course. Probably the next day. Pay the daily fee, sign the release form, and get out of the "fast lane" until you are up to speed!
For those who do go..... I recommend a good nights sleep and a very clear head....you have no idea how fast you can drive on that course
BTW....don't be like Big Ben....wear a helmet!
I wouldn't mind flying out for a school like this if you know what I mean.
Re: Nurburgring Fall Trip! (ByrnNhell)

ByrnNhell...
You cannot do the driving experience without doing the WHOLE thing...which would mean buying another car...which we can make happen
However, you CAN pay the fee (very reasonable as I recall), sign the release form and take a few laps around the Ring on open track days.
Send V50T5OSD an IM...tell him I suggested you contact him. He was there last year and took his V50T5 on the course.
