Well...

#1 George from Viva requested it and he lives in MA so already a long drive. South Jersey would add 1-1.5 hours to his trip.

#2 Many of us live in Northern NJ / NYC / LI area, hence we are more familliar with destinations for meets within our general area.

Philly area near southern New Jersey has had at least two IKEA meets in the past 6 months that I can recall. One in Philly and one in Conshohocken (or however it is spelled).

IMO whoever steps up to organize can choose where the destination will be.

For those of us who live in Northern NJ the line of demarcation is pretty much the Driscoll bridge.

South of that is Central NJ and "Southern NJ" to me is really The areas adjacent to Philly on the NJ side of the river across to Atlantic City...

Princeton is 1 hour from me. Only direct highway route is Rt 1 which is typically a slow go with lots of volume and traffic lights galore.

Philly is 1.5 hours from me via Turnpike.
Atlantic City is more like 2 hours.

I can be to where JRL lives in 1 hour 45 mins...it's all highway. 100 miles.

Re: Blackthorne where our GTG was last fall...they were pretty cranky about our group. Didn't like us hanging out in the parking lot, didn't want to run separate checks for people. I'd be inclined NOT to give them any more business based on the way we were treated last time.
