yesterday i noticed my engine just sounded different. this AM after getting to work i took the oil filler cap off with engine still running and i noticed its not SUCKING in air anymore... thats the all tell sign PCV needs change, right??
can i still drive it a little like this?? would the pcv going bad make the engine running sound different??? and its not something else....
2004 V70 with 168K..

Yes, and yes but not for very long as you risk blowing out other seals, especially the rear main seal.

is there any temp way to relieve the pressure build up from the PCV system not working?
what am i looking at cost wise to have a shop do this. if you didn't have to remove the intake i think i would give it a try??
ran engine to temp, removed dip stick and no smoke coming out.
just did a mobil one oil change 1k ago.
