Welcome to the club . I'll see you at the track. Are you coming out to any of the other club events? The Davis meet in May is always big and a lot of fun, plus there is a great track event which follows the day after.
-Michael

Re: Northern California Events 2004 (NUFAN)

Im kind of a car nut/freak/whatever...so I may see you at a few of these events. I literally signed up a few minutes before I left that last post and what really sparked my interest was the karting event in Fremont. THe Davis meet, huh? whats it like? A "good guys" type of show for only Volvo?
What track will they be using; cant think of one near Davis.
Really looking forward to it all. Went on a long drive through the Santa Cruz mtns this morning for fun and didnt see another Volvo It will be nice to meet other Volvo's and there owners that can come out and play
See ya soon.
Re: Northern California Events 2004 (warrenmadsen)

The davis meet usually draws between 100-125 volvos. It's really a lot of fun and is probably the second biggest volvo meet on the west coast after the west coast national meet. Come to think of it, it's actually one of the biggest in the US. The track day is held at thunderhill raceway, I believe that it's about an hour north of Davis, also a lot of fun and an all day event.
We recently had a volvo meet down in Aptos back in October. We had a gimmick rally and spent two hours driving in the back hills there, some great roads . I try to post all of the bay area meets on swedespeed and volvospeed.com, but if you want to stay up to date on your own you can send Lee Cordner an email and he'll add you to the northern california events email list.
[email protected]
Our next bay area event is the dyno day up in Rohnert park on February 21st. Unfortunately it's not an awd dyno, but if you want to come out to meet up with some of the members you're welcome to, there should be some pretty modified volvos there.

Michael
