Well, today I made a 244C. C for CONVERTIBLE!!! It's awesome, chopped the roof right off. Removed the rear door windows, the triangles, and then the rear glass. Those were all fairly easy. Cut the all the pillars, etc. It is crazy. Had to weld up the doors so that it didn't flex too much...I'll post pics soon.

How much faster is the car now that you removed all that weight? (or is overall stability a problem?)

Actually Micheal, the roof isn't really that heavy...easily lifted by two people, and one could lift it pretty easily if it weren't so cumbersome. You can put your hand on the A-pillar and feel it move on bumps...but I do think that the car is a little quicker. Anyone who knows about 240s or cars laughed when we were driving around today...it was fun.

whoa....how are you going to deal with the body flex? you do plan on opening the doors one day, eh?

Hah, body flex is not a big concern. The car is no longer a daily driver, and I just did it for fun. Took some mean burnout pics too, you gotta see. Hopefully will get em scanned tomorrow.
And doors? Who needs doors?
