According to Jalopnik and some other automotive blogs we read, Lincoln has adjusted its plan for the upcoming P2-based MKS sedan. Volvo's V8, the same found in the XC90, will no longer be made available for the car... at least for now.
More here...
http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/n...4.php
Too bad, a real handsome car, I would buy one as I have had good luck with the couple of Lincoln's I have owned. In fact my old 1987 MK7 was one of the best cars I've ever owned, 0 trips to the dealer for warranty work and very little service in general. Changed the oil, rotated tires and new brakes at 30K, that was about it

Re: No Go for Volvo V8 in New Lincoln (JRL)

Ford has never really given Lincoln a true sense of direction and purpose.
Even when they have done well, they never have been able to take the next step.
The 61 Lincoln was beautiful, yet they never went further with it.
The Navigator was the first of its kind, yet Caddy and Lexus own that segment now.
If Lincoln had built a production version of its show Continental no one would have looked twice at the Chrysler 300.
If I were a Lincoln dealer, I'd slit my wrists right now.

At least Caddy has cars that don't look like anything else GM produces.
