The only shop I used in Denver was Nick's. That was 12+ yrs ago and when I had a 240 wagon, so my recommendation might be dated as times and cars have changed a lot since then. But as far as service, pricing and quality, they were the best in the Denver metro area back then.

I've never even heard of it. Where is it?
I take my car to Rickenbaugh for warranty work (I haven't been very happy with them overall) and I have gone to Volvo Specialists for suspension mods (I have been very happy with their service).
I use Nick's when it's something I can't or don't want to do myself. I had them charge my A/C and do trans flushes, or trace down relay failures and such. They're honest and knowledgeable and haven't ever been bothered by me asking basic tech questions over the phone. The mehcanics are on salary so there's no motivation to do unnecessary services. Like they'll tell you your brakes are at 50% instead of saying they need to be changed.
I haven't ever had a situation where they steered me wrong or misdiagnosed something, although I also haven't ever had a tough, major problem either.
Prices are better than the dealer but it's still a Volvo shop, it's not cheap.
So in summary, I like 'em.
But they're way down in Highlands Ranch now, that's a looooooooong way to drive from Thornton. If you're looking for an indy shop Volvo Specialists is closer to you, and one of their guys is right here in this forum.
