Re: Next Mod Getting Ordered First Thing (BOOSTED S60R)

The wheels are very good of course as forged 3- piece
I just like the more racing designs with many spokes. I am going to use FIKSE for certain in the end
Wow edit I also am using Kumho's. They are the track tire new peg I believe

Re: Next Mod Getting Ordered First Thing (BOOSTED S60R)

Congrats ... great wheels. IForgeds claim to fame initially was "All that HRE can deliver at a more reasonable price". Lots of folks who had early experience with them waited forever to get thier wheels (like 3 months after placing an order). I hope you have better luck than they did. I do believe thier customer service has improved since their infancy.
I think if you did a price comparo wheel for wheel and feature (like the black centers) for feature, I think you would see that IForged is a cheaper price, but still delivers a damn fine wheel (you won't be missing anything over the HRE's). It is not a huge difference, but at least it is something ... and they are more unique.
There was an early learning curve with IForged as well having to do with big brake kits, brembo conversions they claimed to know about, and the like. Make sure they understand you have an R and what the caliper clearance requirements are in no uncertain terms. Ask up front if they are going to ship your wheels with spacers if you specifically don't want them, or rings. All that being said, you should have one hot ride when it's done .

wheels of this caliber (iforged, HRE, Kenesis) do NOT come with spacer but are custom built to the appropriate offset. You may want to do a 5mm spacer on the rear but you can also have the rear wheels made with a different offset but then you will not be able to rotate your tires. no rongs should be needed either on a custom wheel.
Wheels like this are made to order and custom/ vehicle specific.
This is why they are close to 1000/wheel for iforged and 1500/wheel for HRE

Re: (R_Rated)

That was the point of my post R_Rated ... some of the early wheels shipped with spacers and the first indication that customers got was when they opened the box. Not all is what it seems unless you are smart enough to ask the right questions up front. Many assume, like you just did (I would have too), but you can't be sure until you ask.

It works with the stock boost control or the aftermarket one either way it works great. I am using the aftermarket one as of this second but thats just because its the same every pull with the aftermarket controller. the stock one varies to much. Still all stock turbo numbers.

I am either using that or I also can move the tubes over the apex i evc-r aftermarket boost controller. And the Unichip can control either one of the two.
