JRL - Yes, ONLY seven races..... Look at the caliber of equip. He's had? The dopes on SPEED CHANNEL predicted He'd win the championship His FIRST year. He drives every race like He want's it to be His LAST.
I'm Happy He found a friend in Jeff Gordon..... Probably the ONLY driver that won't put Him into a wall
The latest news is that he has left the McLaren team with immediate effect after coming to a mutual agreement... The move is to apprently let Montoya join NASCAR sooner and give him more time to get up to speed. McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa will replace him in France, but not been confirmed for the rest of the season. The latest story going about is that either Mclaren protege Lewis Hamilton or tester Gary Pafett to partner Alonso next season.
Glad to see him leave. He was/is a good F1 driver but carries so much baggage with him wherever he goes. I'm sick of hearing his complaining about everything. On the other hand, he was one of the very few competition driven drivers left. The rest just seem like they want bigger contracts and don't bother to show much for it.
