Folks - Thought you might enjoy seeing my new toy for the XC90; a wireless charger designed to perfectly fit into the cup holder tray. At $150, not cheap, but it fits so well into place, it looks like a factory fit. It fits plugs into the 12v socket and can simultaneously charge wirelessly and another phone through the USB. It seems to me that this charges as quickly as the other 'fast' charger I have. The metal tray closes without hinderance over the charger. My phone is in a leather case.. doesn't slide around when the car is driving

Having now owned my car for 3.5yrs ++ or so, this is one of the better aftermarket things I have bought for my XC90.
I wish the finish on the 'chrome' edging was better, especially for the price, and expect some of the finish to come off over time.

These are available on both AliExpres and eBay… and probably other places too...

Owned now for about 2months... happy to answer questions!

I tried to get your images to work, but for some reason they just refuse to show up from TinyPic. I left the links in there so people can click them to view.

That server seem slow; I was able to view one after a while. Here's a vendor on eBay selling probably an identical model; this is not an endorsement on a particular vendor

From that ebay page:

For what it's worth, a phone without a case is likely to slide around a little on the surface of this charger. However, a phone with a case doesn't in my experience. The rubber piece (bottom right pic) prevents a case-less phone from sliding, but the metal tray won't cover if the rubber piece is atop the charger!!!

Also, wireless charging doesn't interfere with the keyless entry/ignition

Hope this helps!

Yeah, I thought that too. I figured I'd pay $150 for a wireless charge upgrade when building the car, so went for this. Despite the money I paid, I am happy with the purchase given the quality of fit. I'd rate it 8/10, wishing only the silver plastic trim had better finish.
