I'd love to ship it to you.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any approved way to commercially ship a flooded acid battery.
Tilt it too far, and the acid will spill out.
That is why I've limited the listing to local pickup.

If you have a friend willing to privately run it up to you, or some other approved conveyance, that might be a different story.

The battery weighs about 50 pounds.

I think the XC70 is listed for Group 48.

Is the Group 49 R only? Is there a difference?

I know my existing battery is 600A, not 800A.

I could do a local pick-up for $75.

You'll have to check your battery tray.

Earlier models with engine compartment mounted batteries probably can't hold a Group 49.

The later P2 S60/V70s, including my R, came from the factory with a trunk-mounted Group 48.

But the trunk mount battery tray fits a Group 49 if it has the second hold down bolt hole farther out. My understanding is that they all do - but you need to check yours to be sure.

The Group 49 is a much more powerful battery and a definite upgrade in an option-loaded P2.
I upgraded ours with no problems. This Volvo battery was a perfect fit in it, including the vent tube hookup.

But double-check your vehicle to be sure, though.

Let me know.

Pardon, took me a bit to get around to this.

So I have a rear-mounted battery and a second bolt, slightly more outboard of the one currently in use.

Would y ou have time over this w/e for the swap?
