So I was in the process of replacing my turn signal bulbs, swapping out ambers for "superwhites".....of course the drivers side is nice and easy.....and then I move to the pass. side......After ripping my hands apart and bleeding all over the place , I get 1/2 the turn signal socket out, and the other half is still in the lamp housing . So I carefully fish it out, making sure it doesn't fall all the way in and then being in a world of hurt.....So I get it out and look at it and notice it is "plastic welded" very poorly in 3 small spots (no wonder it broke) So now I am out a pass. side bulb socket....Does the dealer normally have this part in stock or will it need to be special ordered?? I searched all over the "net" and only found the bulb itself, no socket....by how easily it broke, I am sure this has happened to other people.

Re: New Turn Signal Socket (s60rdood)

Got a new socket at the dealer today....last and only one they had. Only about $8.50 and came with a new bulb.

I haven't had to change that bulb yet, but I can see it being a pita. Any tricks or tips for pulling this socket out?
Kevin

Re: New Turn Signal Socket (KVB-R)

Loosten the screw holding the filler neck for the washer fluid on so you can push it to the side a little bit, twist off the back cover for the headlight bulb, and un-clip the wires & loom from just below the rad-support....and give it all you got to get that bulb out!!
