Hi all- My 07 Barrents Blue, AWD Manual V50 is set to come in in about a month. It will have the premium package (Quartz leather int.), climate package, and navigation,(dual booster seats too). My husband and I are wondering what accessories to get. So far we are thinking rubber floor mats for sure, roof rails, ipod FM transmitter. I cannot wait! This is our first volvo, my current car is an 01 Dodge Stratus. Any suggestion on the accesories? Any tips in general as we get ready?
Thanks!

Congratulations!!!
Your V50 should have an auxiliary input for your Ipod, It won't charge it, but it will give you vastly better sound quality.... I'd skip the FM transmitter....

I think you'll find the roof rails are too expensive as an add-on accessory. As a factory option they're a no-brainer (because of the other things in the package), but with parts and labor they're just not the same.
I added a rear spoiler, I think the car looks much better with it and it helps keeps the rear glass clean.
Ipod transmitter is unnecessary in an 07 since it has aux-in as dugums mentions. Neither one controls from the head unit, of course. Rubber mats are nice, I use the one under the driver's feet all year. The quartz ones tend to change color though.
Tom.

oops- sorry I mis-spoke, we will have the roof rails as a factory installed item, we will get the load bars later. We are also thinking of the handsfree bluetooth kit. Thanks!

Re: (2blb)

How much do the load bars cost? I have the rails (factory installed) but no load bars. Seems almost silly and useless not to have the bars.
I ordered and installed the side pocket cargo net. It goes in the hatch on the left - a little net, not to be confused with the large cargo net for the entire hatch. It was VERY VERY VERY complicated to install. I like it a lot now that I have it installed, and it was only about 25 $ US. But it might be worth it to have the dealer install it if they can for a little bit of extra cash unless you're up for a challenge. You pretty much have to rip the left side of the car interior apart just to install four receiving nuts.
Definitely not essential, but nifty.

Another tip: enjoy the car. It's awesome.

You should check out Boston Volvo for your accessories. They do have slight discount (Usually 15% off retail). I'm very happy with my purchases with them.
IIRC the AUX in is only on cars that have premium audio...but I think you have to have premium audio to get nav, so there you go.
I use this with my ipod:
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCa...49006
center console has enough overhang that you can hide the line out to the AUX port.
how'd you end up with dual booster seats in an 07? I thought booster seats were eliminated as an option in the 2007 line...
