First off, I'm stock, no springs :( but I need new 18" tires.

Currently, I'm running 225/40/18 on my OEM Atreus (7.5 width) rim. I'd like to consider going a bit narrower since I have inner wear issues due to camber (which I plan to fix soon since I bought camber arms for the rear).

The first choice is using 215/45/18 which I know work, but-

Does anyone run 225/45/18? These would the the tallest of the 3 options, and I don't know how tall is too tall for our cars. It would help me fill my terrible wheel gap a bit more! :D

Just for fun I picked an RE-11 at Tire Rack to check out sizes. The 215/45 is already .5" larger in diameter than your 225/40. The 225/45 only gets you .3" more. I think it's a no brainer to go with the 215. Cheaper, lighter & I bet the same rubber on the road after you consider the rim width you're using.
