Alright,
So I have waited a bit for the dealerships in my area to get it together enough to get new info on the DVD NAV for my 2002 V70 T5, the parts, the training, whatever it takes so that I can order this system and get it installed.
Taking into consideration that the dealership informed me that my Volvo could not be ordered with the NAV because of the change of systems (CDROM to DVD) at the time of purchase end of November in 2001.
Both dealers are now telling me that management, meaning dealership management, can order the parts but will not install the system as an aftermarket system since it was not meant or designed as such. They also state that none of thier technicians or service personnel are trained to do this kind of install. Does this sound like right to anyone?
Without running the risk of being excused from this board by using every foul word I know at this moment, please tell me how it is that Volvo can deny me a known factory installed accessory in this 2002 model year, design a new and improved unit, to turn around and have the parts finally be available and denied the service to have the unit installed by the dealer?
I really need some help here. I truly feel that Volvo is falling far short of it's committment to the customer. If anyone believes this is a dealership issue I would appreciate some feedback on how to proceed. After owning two BMW's, two previous Volvo's, I've never known a manufactuere to be in the business to not sell product or have untrained service personnel. Regardless of the former availability issue with this NAV system, Volvo is advertising this system on it's web site and has done so since it's introduction.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Mike
