New member, new ride - Some questions

Hello all,
My wife and I just picked up our first Volvo. A new (to us) CPO 2007 XC90 3.2 AWD. It's black and has Premium, Versatility, and Climate packages. We also got them to install the Volvo Park Assist sensors for free, which is nice. We're former VW people, and the Volvo is a bit of a change for us, but we love it so far. Quiet, safe, and (hopefully) reliable. Anyway, a few questions:

- Floor mats. The ones that came with it are kinda beat, so we'd like some new ones. dealerfit.com lists both Umbra and Mocha as colors available. We have the light color (Taupe?) interior. Which mat color will match our interior best?

- Which Bluetooth kit does everyone like? I've read that both the Motorola HF1000 (which the Volvo kit uses) and the T605 kit work with the Volvo harness. Our phones have built-in voice dialing, so that isn't a deciding feature. Any opinions on which kit provides better sound quality?

- Looks like 2007 didn't have the Auto-dimming mirror as standard. Any way to add it after the fact? Does it require programming and about how much does it cost?

Thanks!

Should be part of the premium package.

Get a set of WeatherTech Floorliners for the mucky months. Get the salesman to give you a set of new factory mats. It's the least he can do for getting to sell you a car.

I thought so too, but it's not mentioned on the window sticker. I think I read somewhere it's part of the Convenience package, which our car doesn't have. Anyway, after more reading, it looks like the mirror is also the Upper Electronics Module and is a PITA to replace, so I'll leave it be.

I have the rubber floor mats. Mocha matches the Taupe interior.

On the floor mat question, does anyone make one that covers the drivers left foot rest area? Over time that area gets pretty worn, and dirt filters down under the mats. Our Santa Fe has the same configuration, and although the rest of the carpet is protected, that section is not.

on the Weather tech, do you have the digital cut ones or the heavy duty ones. Just curious about the fit in general, aside from the above mentioned issue.

Thanks.

Cool. I ordered the complete set from Boston Volvo. I also ordered the Bluetooth Harness from them as well. I think I'm going to go the cheaper route and order the Motorola T605 from Amazon for $60. I don't need the built in voice recognition as our phones have it already. We'll see how it turns out.

One more question: For having an inline-6 engine, this car vibrates/shakes a bit when in gear and sitting at a stoplight. I thought something was wrong on the test drive so I asked to try a brand new (3 miles on it) 2009 XC90 to compare. Same exact thing. Is that just the way things are with the 3.2 engine? Seems rather unrefined for an expensive car.

You have an AWD, I have a FWD. I don't feel any shaking/vibration when in gear and sitting at a red light, or at least I haven't noticed it. In a perfect world, the engine should idle like it's in "neutral" gear position. I'll check it out today and pay closer attention to it and let you know. Hmmm...
