Absolutely love the S60r, from the 1st time I saw one had to have one. I'm going to look @ an 04 silver w/ blk rub strips, 18" wheels, nav, 6spd, 37k on the clock for 27.9. I think if we can get the numbers right I'm gonna buy her. Is there anything I need to be wary of? I really have wanted this car since I saw it. What does the R forum think? Thanks for the help. Chad

I suggest you do a search for 2004 related issues as there are quite a few. Hopefully those issues were resolved since there are 37k miles on it. Good luck and welcome to the crowd!<p>BTW, do you own a callaway 'vette? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: New guy here got a few ? (phuz)

Thanks for the help, unfortunately I don't own a callaway Vette, I just have a fixation on Callaway golf products, they should be endorsing me for how much of their gear I have <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0">

Chad, you will definitely want to come in lower than $29k for that vehicle.<br>According to cars.com, there are several R's with the same mileage that are already listed at ~$26k.<p>Just a heads up!

Re: (phuz)

I have an 04 and I found that using "TNN" in the search engine on current AND archived info helped alot. When you are in the "search" function it is set to "recent content" by default. Make sure after you read the "current" info then you go back to the search criteria screen and click on the archived content button. Then you will have more than enough info for a days worth of reading. Read it all if you have time. Those posts have saved me on many occasions prior to taking it to the dealer. Then you have a print out of the possible TNN's that are directly related to your situation. I hope this helps. IM me and I will send you my phone #, then we can chat about certain things I have had done that took many trips to the dealer to fix CORRECTLY. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

If you're buying at a Volvo dealer, insist on CPO if it's not already.

Re: New guy here got a few ? (MagoonR)

Thanks for all the help everyone, went down to look at it and it was not in that gooda shape, my trade was in better shape than the R, loved the performance though, probably gonna wait and maybe get an 05 or 06 next spring. I'll owe less on my car and be in a better financial situation to buy an 05 or 06. I am gonna stick around here and learn as much as I can so I can be better informed when time comes to buy next spring. Thanks again Guys. Chad
