Re: New exhaust manifold (JoeLvo)

http://********************/smile/emthup.gif great company so it is great they are making this. I do not like it that much but the price is low so it will probably help a lot of people especially the T5

Re: New exhaust manifold (Helmut Ranff)

Curious as to why you don't like it? Personal preference? Not a good option for the R? Or something else? Thx.

Re: New exhaust manifold (juve021)

Which one in the photo bolts up to the R's factory K24, Is it the middle one w/ 4 bolt holes on the flange?

...has anyone seen this?
Yup, have definitely seen it (online, that is); am thinking seriously of going this route when I bolt on the GT3071R.

Re: (ifnt420)

Someone speak up and explain this beast. I have heard people talk about changing it out before, but we never had a company give us the option. If R owners were to bolt this up to their caRs, what kind of gains are they looking at?

That's the outlet to the turbo with the four bolt holes in the middle pic

the top and bottom pics show the top of the manifold with the two bolt flange for the external wastegate...

see the last two pics if you're still confused:

This manifold is designed for p1 (c30/s40/v50/c70). These cars charge pipe runs on bottom of engine not over the engine like p2. This would require serious waste of time to make it work on p2. but yes it will bolt up.

Re: (Insider)

It appears to be a different part number. Some one would have to call
to be sure.

The funny thing is their notes regarding the 003 C30 T5 manifold when
they mention the S60R exhaust manifold being a "wall"

It is so true and ridiculous when you compare the cosworth manifolds etc
to the OEM S60R design.

Also when you then look at the stock head itself on a port flow analyzer and see how bad that is also well this is why we do what we do. The improvements that can be made are staggering, probably 30% at least
with decreased pre turbo backpressure, and lower EGT
