One of Bimmer.Org's valued members died in South Africa almost a month ago in his new E46 BMW M3. A website has been setup as a sad reminder about speeding and street races...
New E46 BMW M3 & Speed Kills...
-Drew

[This message has been edited by InDy (edited 10-30-2001).]

DANG~~!!! That really sucks...I feel bad for the people in the car. And I feel even worse for the car.......
I wonder how fast they were going.....I mean BMW shouldn't be all that bad in terms of safety feature and body rigidity, right? They must be going very fast then if they crashed the car like this.
That's just scary looking.....glad I ate my lunch before seeing this.
Owie, yup, I'd say 99 out of 100 doctors would reccomend that for pain.
But readign the report the folks hit a traffic light pole head-on. Looking at the magnitude of the damage I'd say they were moving at a fast clip. Sad. OK, that just reinforces the concept that street racing is hazardous to your health.

The Integra was trying to catch up to the Celica, both were doing about 70 in a 35 zone on a twisting road . . . .
I suspect when the Celica lost it his buddy in the Acura over-reacted to try and stay out of the way, lost it and then hit the van (I'm only speculating) But both were going way too fast.
It's such a shame to see 4 promising lives cut short so quickly.

(Maybe. I'd hope.)
