Interesting. BMW stylists have done it again. They have failed as miserably as the Japanese in coming up with new/interesting styling cues. The rear tailights of the new 5 are representative of the current 3 which are representative of the old 5. I'd be willing to bet that the rear tailights of the new 3 look just like the current 5 which look surprisingly like the old 3.
The creativity overwhelms me! :)

I don't know, I kind of like it. I know that I am definately in the minority regarding the new styling trends at BMW. Too bad for them though that I do not have BMW type money for an 7-Series or a 5-Series.

I don't really like any of those and I've always liked the look of BMWs. That pic above with the turn signal strip above the headlight bulbs would make it difficult to add an eyebrow on it. I'd rather see remain unchanged than the have-to-restyle just because look. I'm sure they'll come through with something although the new Z3 dosen't look very good IMO.

A close-ratio 4-speed for racing (or "performance driving") and two overdrives isn't enough? This is getting rediculous, manufacturers seem to be reaching the point of advertising that more gears is better.
I think the twin-turbo version of the I6 might be a better deal. I'll bet with some new turbos that thing will smoke the new M5 all day long
