Since I don't have any children, this will effectively fill the role for the time being:

Going to take advantage of the great deal on the Medusa rims from Boston Volvo. Should be a couple of weeks before I get them installed but there's a beautiful example of a V50 on Swedespeed already lowered with them on. I bow my head in shame...I'm not worthy.

I'm so jealous......looks absolutely stunning in black. Glad to see I'm not the only one without kids who would drive the V50!

OF COURSE! Luckily, the fiancee drives stick (her RSX Type-S is also a 6sp) so I got away with it. Since this was going to be the "family car" she wanted it to be auto. But when we test drove it we were unamimous on the tranny choice (read: she agreed to grant me some joy in my life).
How long you been in BC? Milton isn't what it used to be. Been there for 1.5yrs and we already have a Canadian Tire, Walmart, Home Depot and we're getting an 8 screen movie theatre. These are big deals for little ol' Milton. They're also doing underpasses at all the railway crossings and stretching Derry/Thompson/James Snow to 4 lanes. You wouldn't recognize it today.

Re: (rodlentino)

Yeah, 6 speed is the only way to fly. Your car is very similar to mine. Mine's an 06 AWD, 6 speed, Sapphire Black, sport package audio package, and leather. I didn't want nav, and mine has roof rails rather than the body kit. Just rolled 10000km last night, and I love it.
It's been a long time since I was in Milton, you're right. I've lived in BC for 10 years now, and last time home was about 2 years ago for a wedding in Burlington. Last time to MIlton was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Used to buy wheels and tires from Cheap Thrills, but I'm guessing they're gone now.
Oh, and I'm another guy with no kids, and a V50. Hell, Idon't even have a girlfriend, kids, wife, nothing. Just me, and I still appreciate the wagon.
Al

I should really stop by Milton next time I'm on the way to Waterloo and check the place out. Used to drive by Milton all the time when I went to university at Waterloo. For us, reaching Milton's water tower off the 401 meant that we can dial local GTA with our cellphones.
