Generally, Audi offers three interior treatments (not colors, but mixes of materials) so there'll probably be different wood shades, not to mention aluminum or carbon fiber on S and RS models.
I'm a huge Audiphile and I'm quite pleased with this car. The side and rear I believe are much more handsome than the Phaeton, the 7 Series and the Merc. Still, the front looks kind of boring to me. It's handsome, just nothing new. It looks a lot like the A4 Cabriolet. I'd have much rather seen them go with a bold front end design, using (at least visibly) a large frontal grill reminiscent of the old Auto Union silver arrows.
I saw a drawing in Automobile about a year ago of what they thought the next A4 (now out) would look like. It featured a large black grill area, surrounded by the chrome frame. There was a bumper segment bisecting it, but that segment was matte black, and the chrome framing continued over it. That setup was MUCH more bold, and more like current Alfa Romeo and Volvo design where you wouldn't mistake it for anything else out there.
With the Phaeton being launched and not all that different from the front, Audi needs something to set it apart.
