Good morning,

Recently purchased a 2016 Polestar from local dealership. I am trying to find the production number of the car.........hopefully I'm using the right terminology here. I had thought it was on the door sill but the only thing there is the "Engineered by Polestar" plate.

Any help? Thanks.

The MY2016 cars have no specific production number assigned to them like other years (i.e. MY15 and MY17/18).

FWIW, your Polestar Engineered certificate calls out a number - although my bet is that it is the number relative to worldwide production across all years. If true, that would imply that any MY 2018 owner should have a number over 2000 on their certificate.

The MY2017 were not explicitly numbered either.

The number designation on the door sill is against the MY2018 and from a worldwide perspective for that model year only. The MY2015 ones were on the steering wheel and only applied for that model year and per country AFAIK.
