Hi all,

Just picked up my 2013 XC60 3.2AWD today and thought everyone would like to see some pictures of the new model year. Apologies ahead of time for the poor quality of photos - a photographer I am not. Here's the specs:

Interior: BLACK carpet with soft beige leather
Exterior: Stone Black
Platinum Package
Climate Package w/ booster seats
Technology package
BLIS, Power doors
Decor Inlays, Classic Wood
Tunnel Mats
Cargo & Floor Mats

So far - racked up 23 Miles today and I absolutely love it - so happy I chose this as my first new car!

Love the classic wood inlay - very sharp! I also see you have the black carpet with the beige seats - that't a big thumbs up there too - is that a new 2013 option?

We have the classic wood inlay and love it too. The car you chose is gorgeous. Not obviously different from the MY2012, though I imagine there are some good features that Volvo threw in. I just took mine on a road trip from Baton Rouge, LA to Athens, GA and I can tell you, it is an absolute delight on the highway. Coming back, I drove through a few bad rainstorms but felt so secure because the car handles so well and feels so substantial. Knowing that my rear lights are on (not all makes have that feature with day time running lights) AND using the rear fog gave me some nice assurance, too. Welcome to the family!!

@ cab - the beige leather with black carpet is an overseas option only (we're stationed in germany right now, and have access to certain combinations that are euro spec specific) i think i'm the only person with a 2013 at the moment who has this option on a US spec 2013 xc60, even though I've seen some other 2012s and 2011s with it. I absolutely love the combo and have no idea why they don't make it a regular option. One of my friends here picked up her MY 2012 XC60 this May and we were comparing the two yesterday. Here are the differences that we can point out so far
- there is no small secondary screen above the navigation anymore. It's been replaced by a large central speaker.
- rather than the sensors for the rear and front bumpers showing in the small screen on the dash, the nav screen shows it alongside either the backup camera or nav system. It reminds me of the display iDrive for BMW has when backing up/moving forward (arial view).
- The premium stereo systems sounds PHENOMENAL. My friend's 2012 (w/ premium stereo) doesn't have the rich quality mine has. Im thinking they finally added the subwoofer everyone has been complaining the previous premium system was lacking.
- the clear illuminated gear shifter (which is now standard).
- City Safety has been upped from 30 kph to 50 kph
and thats all I can think of at the moment. I'm finally over 100 miles on it and I am still in love. Such a smooth ride, incredibly intuitive and an absolute joy to drive. I do feel a little guilty, however, as I still have yet to let my husband drive it - I can't bear to let anyone else drive it!

Here are the differences that we can point out so far
- there is no small secondary screen above the navigation anymore. It's been replaced by a large central speaker. This was redesigned for 2011.5MY when SENSUS came out.
- rather than the sensors for the rear and front bumpers showing in the small screen on the dash, the nav screen shows it alongside either the backup camera or nav system. It reminds me of the display iDrive for BMW has when backing up/moving forward (arial view). This is a SENSUS 3.0 feature
- The premium stereo systems sounds PHENOMENAL. My friend's 2012 (w/ premium stereo) doesn't have the rich quality mine has. Im thinking they finally added the subwoofer everyone has been complaining the previous premium system was lacking. I noticed after SENSUS 3.0 update that clarity was different, I think it had to do with something related to the Multi-Q.
- the clear illuminated gear shifter (which is now standard). New design for every 2013 S60, S80, XC60, & XC70.
- City Safety has been upped from 30 kph to 50 kph Newer hardware makes this possible.
and thats all I can think of at the moment. I'm finally over 100 miles on it and I am still in love. Such a smooth ride, incredibly intuitive and an absolute joy to drive. I do feel a little guilty, however, as I still have yet to let my husband drive it - I can't bear to let anyone else drive it!
I do like the Soft Beige on off Black interior; similar to the S60 offering the two-tone interior.

My center stack looks just like yours, navigation screen and all. The way you describe the back up camera feature sounds just like mine too. We got ours OSD in April, so a later MY 2012. Not sure about your friend's. Sounds like what the MY 2010s featured.

Badgernose - No, but oh I wish it did! Our stripped-down 2008 Tahoe has it and it is perfect for those chilly winter mornings. We live in Germany, so any remote start would have been deactivated upon importation into the country. The Europeans are really strict on their no-idling policy (no more than 30 secs), so there's probably no hope of seeing this feature anytime in the near future.

However, I have read that the Volvo on Call App has a "Remote Heater" function that allows you to use your phone to turn the heater on in the car if you have a parking heater in your car. Did anyone ever hear about the parking heater option when ordering their car???
