Having been inspired by B.G.'s recent post of his AWESOME Sonic R and painted OTE/Charge Pipe/Front pipe, I've been toying with painting mine. I've poorly photoshopped a few options. What do you guys think?
1:

2:

3:

4:

5:

6:

yellow with the moose looks good. a nice contrast to the carbon fiber and the poly mount...are you planning on doing glossy or flat?

Do your Upper Engine Mount and Strut Bar Mounts in the same color. That white pitting corrosion that gets on them looks nasty.

Just how much do you think he will have to spend on that?
There is a place that "dips" or coats the interior trim pieces of BMW's with carbon fiber. I'm not sure if they can do it to that component, how it would come out if they did, what it would cost, or how it would hold up in the engine bay with the heat. Also, you'd be without it for several weeks.
In other words, probably best to go with paint. and IMHO, there's enought CF in there already. Contrast is good.

Not worth that expense, at least with the paint, it can withstand the heat and he can paint it a different color when ready.

Wrap the pipe in real carbon fiber cloth, but don't use any resin. If you use resin it may crack with engine movements.
BTW, I didn't think money was a problem, seeing he has the carbon fiber engine covers, which have no functional purpose other than showing off.
