FWIW, the rule of thumb for any threaded fastener is that 3 full threads of engagement will yeild the spec'ced performance from said fastener. Any more than that is just cake.

Re: Need quick answer (JRL)

I installed my 5mm spacers with the standard bolts and these get about 5 full turns on the treads. I have re-checked torque and it has been OK. I do not think you need new bolts for 5mm spacers.

Re: Need quick answer (Jayam)

Well everything went well until I got the last lug and couldn't get it to thread at all with the spacer in place
took it off and everything was fine
Leaving them off for now. Anyone had the dealer fix the rub issue?

Don't tighten the other lugs all the way before you get to the last one.

You have some sort of odd problem, they should fit just fine

The threads on this bolt are perfect but I'd think they would still work. Might try to get another lug and give it another go.

A set of new bolts is not that expensive. The spacer manufacturers are not going to recommend sticking with the stock bolts, although you might get away with it. Only trouble is no locking bolts in the longer size.
