took my car to the dealer to get the 15000 mile tune up and when i got it back there was a lisense plate bolt imprints in my front bumper. do you think the dealer will fix it? i have pictures of my car on the 17th and it had been in the garage ever since. i would think they would take care of an r better.

Was the bolt there prior to bringing it into the dealer?

I thought all cars came from the factory with the little dimples where the bolts would go. Was yours perfectly smooth before?

I dont see why Volvo wouldnt fix it if you can provide proof it happened on thier grounds in the hand of one of thier techs.

Oh sorry, I get it now- you are saying your car was hit.
Really depends upon how long ago the car was in there and your relationship with the dealership. Will be hard to prove it happened at the dealer unless you noticed it immediately and brought it to their attention before leaving the lot.
How do you know a service tech did it?
Backing up into your car would not have done it as all of Volvo's rear license plates are mounted on the trunklids or rear hatches, not on the bumper- must have been hit head on.

Re: (Copeland)

Which dealer was this at? I always look over my car prior to leaving the dealership in case stuff like this happens. Always happened to me at Brookline VW/Audi when I had my Passat.
