It is somewhat rusty, but the other 3 came off pretty easy. I have tried almost everything I can think of, but it won't budge. Any experienced help would be welcome! Re: Need help removing a stuck brake rotor (Denis)

Put one of your lug bolts back into the hub to make sure the rotor doesnt go flying when you finally knock it loose. Double check that your parking brake is released (if you can spin the rotor by hand with very little resistance, it shouldnt be seized) Using the appropriate mallet and not a claw hammer, put your purse down and knock the ^&*$ out of that thing.

Re: Need help removing a stuck brake rotor (Turb04S60)

My rear right rotor was stuck pretty bad when i was trying to replace the parking shoes. All it takes is a pretty BIG metal hammer (mallet just won't cut it) and just keep banging it from the side all around and it eventually will come loose.

Re: Need help removing a stuck brake rotor (Helmut Ranff)

I think Pep Boys is part of this brake rotor conspiracy. I nearly jumped over the counter last night when they refused to sell me any of their Dingo @$$ oil. Oh, and that clever "Call the police - there's a crazy, drunk customer about to go apesh*t" comment from the cashier was just priceless! They even refuse to show their stock of this stuff in their online catalog! C'mon Pep Boys! Sell me some of your Dingo @$$ oil! I need that stuff!!!

Re: Need help removing a stuck brake rotor (rotorwash)

Well, I left my 5 lb. hammer outside last night, and sure enough, the neighborhood wild dingos must have come by... After a minute or two with the torch and 4 or 5 good whacks, the rotor finally came off. I would now like to take this opportunity to apologize to anyone at Pep Boys or the county law enforcement center that may have been offended by my belligerence last night.
P.S. Thanks to Turb04S60 for the reminder to put one of the lug bolts back in to keep the rotor from falling on my toes this morning!

very easy.... 2 full size flat head screw drivers put them in the rotor vents at 3oclock and 9oclock.. spin the rotor around like a tire and pull towards you... this usually works well.
