Gents,

Forgive me for my dumb question here. I know very little about auto mechanics.

The car at question is an 2015 XC70, T6 AWD. It's got just over 7000 miles.

Lately, I could feel some parts from front-end were shaky when and only when going over bumps. So I took a look at the underside of the car.

What's this part marked in the first image below? It's got a layer of oil/lubricant. Not only that, the oil stain has extended along towards to the rear, as shown in the 2nd image below. Is this supposed to be lubricated like this?

Thanks,
Ed

Thats the rear bushing of the front control arm. There is no lube involved with it.

Your stain looks like a rust preventive spray form the factory. Mine is dry but I got it used with 88k miles. Does your other side look the same way?

With only 7k on the car I'd be talking to the dealer.
