So, I had an "incident" with my R this afternoon thanks to a jay walking grannie (she was ok) and now I need a good body shop in the bay area pronto. Any recommendations? Anyone I should avoid? The towing company wants to get my car out of the lot in 2 days.

OMG I'm so sorry! That looks pretty bad. I'm in San Francisco but I take my car to Mckevit in Berkeley. I cant say I know any body shops in the city here for that...Call Royal motors and ask them who does their body work for them. I think their body shop is down by Best Buy near the Costco...right by the Volvo dealer there. Good luck and keep us updated on the progress.

My friend had front end work on his xc 70 from them and it turned out perfectly spotless like new...but his was more of a glorified fender bender that he drove away from

that looks more in the totaled category, not the body damage category.

Let me know if you also need a good mechanic, and I hope that the car lives again very soon http://********************/smile/emlove.gif

I don't think so, it's a 2006 and the damage is really just the radiators, headlamps, bumper, hood and the front crash structure, the engine is fine, didn't even get close, and the hole in the engine radiator is very small, it took an hour before it even started leaking.

Holy isht! I just wish you didn't mention "Camry"...

Glad to hear everyone is alright! Not for nothing, maybe you can get a nice upgraded IC out of this??? If not, there are plenty of 'used' ones laying around!

I have taken a couple of cars to Superior Auto Body in San Carlos. They did an amazing job on my Audi. They are who Rector (Audi/Porsche) send their cars to.

yea, I still have my stock ic lying around if you want it for cheap. Sorry about the car!!!

Thanks for that offer! I might take you up on that. Phuz has some FMICs coming in soon, and that's my first goal, a stock IC on the cheap would be #2

We're gonna have an R meetup at the body shop soon.

His front end, and my Rear end.

Oh boy.

Wrong place to have an RRRR GTG.
