Can anyone post a close up picture of the the rear wheel well where the bumper lines up with the quarter panel?
My C70 has been in the body shop for the last 3 weeks getting a new rear bumper and they are saying the bumper sits about 1/2" back from the wheel well arch on the quarter panel. Does this sound right?
Thanks

Re: Need a picture (RapidRabbit)

Look at Chilled's cassi. You can clearly see the rear bumper lines up even with the quarter and not 1/2" back.

Sounds like they don't have it snapped on to the core correctly or something. It should make a perfect arch.

Re:

Thanks everybody. I did not think it was like that before the accident.
They have been working on getting it to fit for a couple of weeks. They even ordered a second bumper and support and they both fit the same. I should be getting it back today or Monday and we will see how it looks. If it's not right they will have to fix it.

It was at Kolosso collision on Wisconsin ave. They have done all my body work in the past on my Jeeps.

I just picked it up yesterday on my way to work. Re: Re: (RapidRabbit)

Really close to how my bumper sits, but my bumper was pushed in last summer when moving cars in my driveway. Have not taken the bumper off yet to see if it lines up better.

That could be worse. How do you feel about it?

The shop tried to adjust it for a couple weeks and even ordered a second bracket and bumper and they both fit the same.
I looked at a 2002 C70 at a local dealer and it sits that way too, so I guess it is normal?
I'm just glad to have my car back and that it didn't get totaled.

The rear bumper cover on my car (a '99 coupe) also sits about 3/8-1/2" short of the wheel opening. It is not really noticeable because the car is black. My guess is that Volvo may have used more than one supplier for these parts.
