With car show season approaching, I need to add a little color. Ideas?

I like those 2 stripes people are putting on R's lately next to the hood...

The stripes are pretty sweet. I was talking to some R guys about it. The style actually came from Corvettes...I am thinking of doing something like that this summer, not sure though yet. But for the sake of Pete, don't do anything yellow n blue on your red car, lol.

I think you should do it, maybe not blue and yellow though.

Contact Sweetgfx.com for the stripes. It is owned by SS's Giraff3 and his father. You can PM him about doing the vinyl. The ones we are using on the R's will not be long enough for the S40's but i'm sure he can make them a little longer for you guys. I know KP was interested in these as well. I just sent him a PM to respond here.

Yes, my father and I make the fender stripes, slashes, whatever you want to call them! I do not have an S40 to take measurements on, but perhaps when I am at Phuz's place this Friday, I can sneak out and measure off of the S40 that is usually hanging out there!

If you guys have any questions, just IM me and I will be happy to answer them! Everyone has been happy about their stripes so far!

Yeah Giraff3 has done some work for me before, top quality stuff!!!

Yeah I toyed with the yellow and blue, but I dont think it would be a good idea...too playskool haha.

maybe black? What about some shoulder stripes that start above the headlight and taper off to the top of the tail lights? Like that red R that was in some road rally a while back? I think IPD did this too on their red S40

Nah, don't do that. It would look amazing, tho. I am doing that this summer, in a way.

During the summer I am going to finish the shoulder stripes on the S60, V70, and if I can get someone with an S40 to show up, I will measure those up too.

The V70 driver gets a set for free, so does the S40 driver, if one is willing to drive into the Poconos!

It is all about either a defined color theme to work with, or breaking a single color theme (like blacking a car out). I do not think those colors work well with the red and black you have going on. That being said though, I think black will look awesome.

The shoulder stripes for the V70 and S60 should be completed in May sometime. Like I said, if I can get someone with an S40 and/or V50 to drive up, I can measure those and hook them up with a free set also.
