First, sorry to MNIWT for unintentionally hijacking your thread.
I don't care, by all means please continue! We're collecting useful information that will eventually help me, as well as others :)

Many people have asked about my 12v splitter, so I finally got some more detailed pictures:

First thing was to pop the socket out of the plastic panel. (the hole looks rough from a previous project)

Then I plugged in the 3 way splitter.

The red line is the route of the cord.

The spitter sits behind the panel, this picture shows where all my device wires go from there.

Sorry if this is a little off topic but when you installed your intake, how did you connect the evac (i think that's what the line is for) line with the clip? Did you cut the line and splice new hose? I just installed my intake and I am curious :)

Not off topic at all, still on topic with Volvos ;)

I think you're referring to the little hose on the back of the intake pipe? In my case I had two hoses on the factory pipe, but only a spot for one on the Injen pipe. I bought a little T-splitter and rigged this up:

I have the K&N intake which does have two connectors for the vacuum lines but one of my lines has a plastic clip assembly that is too big for the connector. I have it rigged right now but I'm going to cut off the plastic clip and splice a new line.

Just do as I did, remove the entire line and replace it with a hose:

Or run an extension from the clip. I have to get around to doing what tg did.

Tg how long did it take you to do that and how did you remove that carbon fiber hose. How hard is it to replace them too? Also diesnt the top hose has a filter originally? It has some white thing you can see on mniwt picture.

Michael make me that badge too please. ..

Issue two sounds like the top strut bearings. VERY common issue... These things here:

#12 right?

Forgive my ignorance, it's been a while since I touched the front suspension of my car. But with the lowering springs, will I need to rent a spring compressor for this job again?

Yeah, 12.

And why not buy compressors? Wouldn't that be better in the long run vs. renting? I got my set for less than 50$ shipped!
My O'Reilly Auto doesn't charge to rent. I give them $50, walk out with my tools, bring the tools back within 90 days and I get my $50 back :D For tools that I only need once every few years, renting is the way to go.

The bearings fixed my steering issue! But now my axles are obviously shot. Hit a minor bump last night and it felt like the car fell apart. I lurched to the shop this morning to get it fixed.... No time for DIY with work and this coming semester starting in 6 hours.

The prices we pay for lowering... Timing couldn't be worse.

Really hoping I can still go to the Dragon this weekend.

That's why I still haven't lowered the 4x4

New axles are in! They have made a world of difference for how smooth the car runs; no more vibrations and the steering feels tighter when accelerating.

But now I have a weird metal on metal sliding noise. I'm thinking the brake dust shield just got bent a little, I'll tweak that and check.

I'm also, still, encountering a strut clunk. The struts were fine until I replaced the bearings, so I'm assuming I did something wrong. Ideas?
