My mom has those dents only on the door handle however I won't be surprised if dents in the console show up. I plan on replacing it with the dark matte wood available in the c70. As far as I know this docent dent as severely as the metal.

I wish I had the alloy material, I got the plastic and it is not visually as pleasing as the other materials. It's good to know that it gets dented easily, however, even so, why anyone would ever drop anything on it is beyond me, unless you tamper with it. I guess, just don't keep junk in your car.

Looks fantastic how did you black out the turn signal reflector?
Plastidipped all the chrome bits, except the high beam reflectors.
On the S40, I used a tint spray to black out the amber side markers, so they still illuminated. This time 'round, I just plastidipped them so everything had a consistent matte black. If I get pulled over for not having proper side markers, I can peel the dip off. But I doubt that's why a cop would be pulling me over. ;)

This is why I reused to have suction cup windshield mounts. They fall, they dent.

Clutch update?
It's been a week and all seems to be good! Both the slave and the master were bad, which became apparent with the colder weather. Despite recently living in NY, this car was never driven during the winter; my guess as to why the previous owner never noticed the problem. All "commonly" worn parts on this car have now been replaced within the last 10k miles. I replaced a ton of stuff on the S40 at this mileage, so I just consider this an additional purchase to get another 100k miles out of this car.

In other news, I have finished building my shelf in place of the rear seats. The battery relocation is still to come.
I know the carpet doesn't match perfectly, but for $12 total investment, I'm not going to complain.

I also put in my S40 fire extinguisher mount; it does not interfere with seat positioning in any way.

More detailed pictures from the S40:

My welding friend has finished the rear upper sway bar, so I'll be picking it up tonight and hopefully have it painted and ready by the weekend.

Looks cool, I wonder how much stiffer the car will feel.

Full LED conversion is now complete:

The bar has also been painted and installed. I cannot believe how much of a difference this bar has made for handling, which really makes you wonder how much the body must flex for it to be that noticeable...

One thing I disliked about the C30 was how unpredictable the rear end was. I just figured it was a lighter car and I would have to get used to it. But this bar makes it handle as well as my S40 did. Undoubtedly, this is because the C30 is just a tunnel back to the hatch, while the S40 had that rigid trunk deck and rear windscreen above the rear axle. I can tell exactly when the rear end is about to break loose, making me a lot more comfortable to push this car through the turns.

There are a few guys on C30Crew who are producing a style of these bars which allow you to keep your rear seats in. I would highly recommend it.

Painted silver to match the interior trim:

Bolts to the frame where the seat clips used to be, I still need to clean up the carpet cuts:

Nice. You think the rear end is unpredictable? That's weird maybe because I'm so used to it. For one thing I haven't spun my c30 yet no matter how hard I try. I should try Hoosiers and see if it will spin.

I'm sure once you're used to it, it's fine. But compared to my S40 and other cars I've driven, it was unpredictable. This is also coming from someone who bought a modified C30. I didn't build it up from stock, so I can't say how it used to feel.

Finished up my front grille project:

I'd say its very predictable... It's limits are not that far... But then again I've driven some built autox cars and always complain at how horrible this platform is

Add these to the parts bin! Everything on my wishlist is now in my basement, I just need to find the time to start installing what's left...
